Connected and smart mobility stations.
As part of the Tech4Mobility programme, SNCF’s Technologies, Innovation, and Group Projects Division is launching a series of tests for autonomous driving systems on former railway lines converted into connected and smart roads, designed to accommodate autonomous collective vehicles. AREP Design has created a demonstration station for a stop point on the former Nantes-Doulon-Carquefou railway line, spanning 2 km. The station features a shelter, luminous beacons, and an iconic totem, making this new service more intuitive to use.
