The creation of a maintenance and storage site for 31 tram cars accompanies the Tram-Train T12 Express project (Massy-Evry) and contributes to the modernisation and expansion of the public transport network in the Ile-de-France region.
The creation of a maintenance and storage site for 31 tram cars accompanies the Tram-Train T12 Express project (Massy-Evry) and is part of the programme to modernise and extend the Île-de-France public transport network. On this project, AREP is providing SNCF Voyageurs and the Transilien Division with design and project management services for the upstream construction of a complex comprising a four-track maintenance workshop, a pit jack, a washing machine, a derailing track, a service station and a centralised control station.
The project also includes the construction of a six-track storage yard and three bypass tracks. The landscaping and construction materials used contribute to the creation of an ecological landscape that is in line with the joint initiative undertaken by the towns of Palaiseau and Massy, with measures to improve the quality of the environment and the future eco-neighbourhood. The project is HQE certified.
