Maintenance facility, Noisy-le-Sec
Two-track maintenance workshop with suspended maintenance walkways, free of columns.
As part of the extension of the EOLE line, the Noisy-le-Sec maintenance facility has been renovated to accommodate a new workshop called “Two tracks”. Designed for the maintenance of the new RER E and D rolling stock, the Noisy-le-Sec unit blends
harmoniously with the main maintenance area housing the rapid response unit. This technical facility boasts an elegant 2,500-square-metre structure with the capacity to accommodate 112-metre trains.
It stands out because of its functional features, which ensure that employees can work safely and comfortably. The gapfillers fill the space between the roof of the trains and the maintenance footbridge. The absence of beams creates an unobstructed space where people can move around easily. The hanging walkways allow for the simultaneous maintenance of the roof and the bottom of the train.
