New concourse of Orléans transport hub

The new concourse for the Orléans intermodal transport hub has just been opened to the public. This constitutes the passenger concourse and is 44 metres wide and 73 metres in length, including an overhanging awning cantilevered 7 meters out from the building, covering the space of the present building and the Rue St-Yves. It houses the area fronting the platforms used by passengers and station users, featuring SNCF services (sales centre, waiting area, etc.). Ultimately a tram-train link in the shape of a full-blown pedestrian walkway 16 metres wide will be created between the bus and tram station and the train station.
